We have reached the middle of 2011 and if you can recall one of our earlier articles on the cars to look for in 2011, we listed the new Perodua Myvi as one of them. Anyhow, we have received news that the all new Perodua Myvi, which is based on the 2010 Toyota Passo, will be launching in Malaysia on June 16th, 2011.

There are 1300cc and 1500cc engine options with manual or automatic transmission. Price starting from RM45,400 – 56,700 from basic to special Edition range. The expected specification for the new Myvi is listed as below, although the specs are still not finalized:

From the leaked images here, I personally felt the new Myvi is a much better looking car than its predecessor. The meter console is cool and funky as well and provided it is well priced, this B segment supermini will become an instant hit in Malaysia. Just don’t drive this car enthusiastically on highways and corners and you will be rewarded with stress free motoring. More images below, and we shall report when we have the chance to test drive it.
